News Boston College class seeking social enterprise projects

The Providers’ Council is again teaming with Boston College to help our members start or expand a social enterprise. BC is looking for projects to take on this fall as part of its Creating and Sustaining Social Enterprises course.

Submit a proposal today. The deadline to apply is Friday, Aug. 9th.

If your organization is looking to create a social enterprise or expand an existing one, this is a great opportunity to receive free consulting services from graduate students in BC’s School of Social Work. Students are involved in data gathering and budget analysis, and organize their conclusions in a business plan for the enterprise effort.

This has been a valuable opportunity for many members in the past to create or hone their current enterprises into revenue-generating businesses. One of our previous participants shared that “Not only was their plan helpful for us, but it will serve as our guide as we move forward on the project. It is literally making it possible for us to begin!”

After all proposals are submitted, the Providers’ Council and Boston College will review and determine which agencies will be paired with the students; applicants will be informed either way. If you are interested, please fill out this form and email it to Christina Broughton (cbroughton@providers.org) by Friday, August 9th.
