Human Service Forum and the Providers’ Council are collaborating to bring together a panel of local university representatives to discuss how your organization can best work with these institutions to meet and recruit students for internships and careers.
The event provides an opportunity to meet staff from local colleges and universities with social work and public service programs, network, and learn about their internship opportunities and career placement services. During this members-only event, representatives from Elms College, Smith College, Springfield College School of Social Work, University Without Walls at UMass Amherst, and Westfield State University will provide an inside look at their career resources for students as well as their schools’ internship/co-op programs to help you understand how to reach their talented students. There will also be time for questions.
University representatives will discuss:
- How they manage their internship programs;
- Best practices around successful student placements with agencies; and
- Successes and challenges of job and internship placements.
This event is being held exclusively for Human Service Forum & Providers’ Council members.
Coffee service and parking is included in program fee. (parking passes provided at registration.)
