Emerging Leaders: Stay and Grow in Human Services

The world has changed: Covid, hybrid/remote work, record breaking resignations and retirements, work/life balance challenges, to name a few. Yet, extraordinary opportunities wait for those currently serving in human services jobs. Human Services staff can move towards taking ownership of their careers to the best of their ability. This session will help newly emerging leaders define their niche in human services with definitive, practical action steps they can begin right away. Course content presents recent 2021 Center for Creative Leadership research of 10,386 emerging leaders worldwide and what they want and need to succeed.

Session meet via Zoom on Tuesday, March 8th from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

  • Gain a better understanding of how to put your best foot forward in the human services field
  • Learn how to develop support networks for encouragement and inspiration
  • Connect your personal values with your agency’s mission/vision statement, including a look at DEI practices and principles
  • Define your three current strengths and three skills you want to grow in

About Jim Ognibene, M.Ed:

Jim is a People Enabler, Workshop Leader, Career Coach, Facilitator, Learning Catalyst, and Consultant. His passion is helping both individuals and organizations set and reach personal and professional goals. Jim has been deeply immersed in the field of Organizational and Talent Development for over two decades. He and his team have designed leadership development, team building, change management and team building facilitations while Jim has personally delivered over 1,300 professional development workshops. Jim loves being a part of the Providers’ Council community. He enjoys being in a training room (actual or virtual) with so many kind, thoughtful caregivers. Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing from George Mason University, Virginia and a Master of Education in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
