Members Only Accessing Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Zoom

Join the Student Borrower Protection Center (SBPC) for a webinar highlighting updates to the PSLF program, guidance on how to navigate the new process and an opportunity to ask questions about accessing debt relief. Please note that this webinar is aimed at employers.

Location and Time: Thursday, September 8, 10-11 a.m. via Zoom

Last fall, the Department of Education announced an overhaul of the PSLF program designed to allow millions of public service workers who have been struggling under the weight of student loan debt a path to relief. In short, borrowers who were previously ineligible because they had the wrong loan, were making payments on the wrong payment plan, or were knocked off track due to processing errors can now receive credit toward forgiveness for those years worked in public service.

The SBPC will also be hosting its own webinar, How to Access Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Relief Program, at 5 p.m. on September 8 aimed toward borrowers. You can register for their event here.
