This year, the Council supported members by offering education and training, advocacy opportunities, high-quality public policy research, news publications, networking events and group purchasing programs that allow them to operate more efficiently and effectively.

Since our founding in 1975, the Providers’ Council has always been on the move. And in 2019, the Council itself was literally on the move – to Framingham after spending the first 44 years with our organization based in downtown Boston.

For 43 years, the Providers’ Council has been an association that is continuously Envisioning change • Leading advocacy • Driving progress. In 2018, we refreshed our logo to add those words as a tagline to ensure that others know a little bit more about the Council and our organizational philosophy.

With the human services sector on the precipice of a workforce crisis, the Providers’ Council and our members knew in 2017 that we needed to initiate some significant steps to help strengthen our sector.

As the Providers’ Council and our membership led efforts to strengthen the human services sector in Massachusetts throughout 2016, we referred time and again to the foundation that community-based providers have built and continue to reinforce for so many people across the Commonwealth.
