A sold-out crowd of 1,200 people with ties to the community-based human services sector came together at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston to celebrate at the 50th Annual Convention & Expo: 50 Years Together: Celebrating Today, Shaping Tomorrow.
The convention opened with remarks from Providers’ Council President/CEO Bill Yelenak and EOHHS Dr. Kiame Mahaniah, followed by a keynote address from Cait Donovan host of “Fried: The Burnout Podcast,” and author of The Bouncebackability Factor, who spoke about her personal journey with burnout, strategies to identify burnout, its root causes and how people can begin to overcome it.
USI and Advocates returned as the Diamond and Platinum sponsors of the convention, respectively.
Expanding on previous years’ offerings, the Council hosted 39 workshops across three workshop sessions – adding an additional session block from prior years. This new schedule provided attendees more opportunities to explore different topics connected to the human services sector. Each session had 13, hour-long experiences, including traditional workshops, chat panels, networking rounds and wellness sessions.
The Council is grateful for all those who contributed to making this event a success.
