The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (MLCHC), in partnership with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) announced that emails were sent out on Monday, September 23 to those workers who applied for the MA Repay program in February and March.
The MA Repay program is to ease the financial burden of educational debt for behavioral health professionals in Massachusetts. Eligible professionals who have committed to four years of service in various settings applied to receive student loan repayment awards, with $2 million allocated for those serving justice-involved populations. Awards range from up to $12,500 for mental health workers to up to $300,000 for full-time psychiatrists.
For those who applied earlier in the year, keep an eye out for these emails, as they may come from the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (massleague.org) as that is the organization administering the MA Repay program on behalf of the state. You can learn more about the loan repayment program by visiting the MA Repay site at https://www.marepay.org/human-service-and-home-health.
