Are you looking for tools to manage conflict better? Are tension and stress decreasing your ability to handle problematic situations in your organization or group? This interactive workshop will help you to polish your skills at handling conflict effectively and will add some new tools for positive conflict engagement. In this workshop, we will debunk myths about conflict, examine different styles of responding to conflict and identify points of conflict escalation, as well as strategies for de-escalation. This workshop is an opportunity to build in-house capacity to address costly and disruptive workplace conflict more effectively, and to provide managers, senior management, project leaders and staff at all levels the opportunity to develop the skills needed to enhance high-performing teams.

About the presenter:             

GAIL S. PACKHeadshot of Gail Packer standing in front of pink rhododendron flowersER, MSW, is the Executive Director of the Community Dispute Settlement Center, Inc. (CDSC), a private, nonprofit community mediation and training center, where she has been at the helm since 1988.

A clinical social worker by training, Gail oversees CDSC’s roster of over sixty pro bono mediators who volunteer their time and expertise, mediating a broad range of disputes, which include divorce and parenting, housing between landlord & tenants, youth in Juvenile Court, consumer/small claims, elder care, workplace, and prisoner re-entry.

Gail has designed and delivered numerous training programs which focus on mediation and conflict management for diverse groups. She enjoys facilitating engaging workshops that add tools into the conflict toolbox for all participants.
