News Rally at the State House with The Caring Force May 14

The 8th Annual Caring Force Rally is almost here!

More than 500 human services stakeholders from across the Commonwealth in their signature gold T-shirts will unite at the State House on Tuesday, May 14th to rally in support of fair pay for comparable work and legislation to establish a student loan repayment program. They will hear from speakers who will talk about their love of human services work and how it is impacted by student debt and pay disparities.

The Caring Force will also honor legislative champions Sen. Cindy Friedman and House Ways & Means Chairman Aaron Michlewitz with Caring Bear Awards at the annual rally in the Great Hall May 14th. Rep. Michlewitz recently completed his first budget proposal as House Ways & Means chairman. Sen. Friedman is the sponsor of Senate Bill 1077, An act establishing fair pay for comparable work to establish pay equity between nonprofit human service workers and state employees in similar jobs.

The event will be promoted on social media using #CaringForceRally.

The Caring Force and Providers’ Council are encouraging human services professionals to invite their legislators to join them at the rally and meet with them afterward. Learn more about this here.
