The Providers’ Council submitted testimony today at two Chapter 257 hearings regarding updated rates for Certain Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders Programs and Payments for Youth Short-Term Stabilization and Emergency Placement Services.
The rates for 101 CMR 346.00 were being updated to include a cost adjustment factor (CAF) of 2.58 percent and all staff salaries were benchmarked to the Massachusetts Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) median wages as dated May 2022 at the 53rd percentile. The tax and fringe rates for both services were also benchmarked to 27.38 percent.
The rates for 101 CMR 418.00 were being updated to include a cost adjustment factor (CAF) of 1.97 percent and all staff salaries were benchmarked to the Massachusetts Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) median wages as dated May 2023 at the 53rd percentile. The tax and fringe rates for both services were also benchmarked to 24.97 percent.
Among other requests, the Council urged the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to incorporate the 75th percentile of the BLS data t the Council urged EOHHS to incorporate the 75th percentile of the BLS data to ensure community-based human services organizations can recruit and retain workers in an increasingly competitive environment.
