SUMMARY:Provider Member Webinar: Rising Risk for Refugees and Immigrants in Massachusetts - Policy Shifts\, ICE Activity\, and Social Work Responses
DESCRIPTION:Date and Time: April 14; 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. \nLocation: Online via Zoom \n**Please note this session is hosted by Conversations for Caring. Any questions regarding the session should be directed to lbulkley@glss.net. \nRecent federal immigration directives have increased the risk of detention and enforcement for many immigrants and refugees living in U.S. communities\, including individuals who are lawfully present in Massachusetts and engaged in everyday activities such as work\, school\, and healthcare. New federal guidance and broad enforcement changes have expanded ICE activity in community settings. For social workers\, these overlapping federal actions mean that clients may experience heightened fear\, service avoidance\, family disruption\, and trauma even without changes in their personal circumstances. \nIn this webinar we will meet an IINE staff member who will share direct experience of clients who’ve faced ICE engagements.\nThis presentation will help social workers understand these federal shifts at a high level and explore their practical implications for ethical\, trauma‑informed\, and client‑centered practice. \nThis session offers 2 CEUs for NASW\, LICSW\, LDAC\, LMHC and Nursing. \nRegister Here! \n  \nPresented by: \nAlexandra Weber\, LICSW Chief Advancement Officer and Senior Vice President\, International Institute of New England \n  \nCost: \n$35 (group discounts available)

SUMMARY:Free Webinar: Let’s Illuminate Human Services – Understanding the Solar Upgrading Nonprofits (SUN) Program😎
DESCRIPTION:Date and Time: May 5; 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. \nLocation: Online via Zoom \nIntended Audience: Financial Staff\, Facilities/Operations\, Executive Teams \nLearning Track: Finance & Sustainability \nThe SUN Program is back!☀️ \nIn 2025\, the Solar Upgrading Nonprofits (SUN) Program\, a partnership between the Providers’ Council and Resonant Energy\, helped 18 human service providers explore solar through no-cost feasibility assessments and grant funding. Organizations moving forward with solar will save 70 to 100 percent of their annual electricity costs for a total of $10 million dollars in expected lifetime savings. \nThe SUN program supports nonprofit human service providers across Massachusetts as they explore solar as a means of reducing their operating costs and contributing to a clean environment for their constituents. Many organizations have expressed strong interest in solar but lack the internal capacity and expertise to pursue feasibility assessments and projects. This program bridges that gap by providing organizations free solar feasibility analyses\, grant writing assistance\, and stipends to cover staff-time invested in this process. \nRegister for this session at the link below to hear from the team at Resonant Energy about the impact and scope of the program.  \nYou can apply for the SUN Program here. \nOrganizations are encouraged to apply early for the SUN program in order to ensure they can capture the 30-50% federal tax incentive before it is eliminated on July 4th. \nRegister Here! \n  \nAt the end of this session\, participants will understand: \n– The benefits of going solar and the financing options available to your organization \n– What you need to get started on a solar feasibility analysis for your building \n– How to apply for this unique program and get paid to explore solar \n  \nPresented by: \nMadeleine Barr\, Chief Growth & Impact Officer\, Resonant Energy \nRachel Gentile\, Marketing & Communications Manager\, Resonant Energy \nSanne Wright\, Community Partnerships Manager\, Resonant Energy \n  \nCost: \nFree \n  \nConfirmation Policy: We only send confirmations via email. Please email Nina Lamarre at nlamarre@providers.org if you do not receive a confirmation email. \n\nAccommodation Policy: We will do our best to accommodate individuals needing services. Requests for accommodations need to be made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled webinar\, workshop or training event. Please indicate the specific type of service being requested.

SUMMARY:Provider Member Webinar: Behind the Scenes of Dementia Care - The Real Work of Dementia Caregiving Across Care Networks
DESCRIPTION:Date and Time: May 12; 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. \nLocation: Online via Zoom \n**Please note this session is hosted by Conversations for Caring. Any questions regarding the session should be directed to lbulkley@glss.net. \nThis presentation seeks to expose the invisible yet highly coordinated care delivery work that family and friend caregivers perform across networks to provide care to people living with dementia—work that is best understood as a sociotechnical system with dynamic goals\, shifting demands\, and interdependent roles. \nDr. Werner will describe how this work reaches beyond hands‑on tasks to include continuous information management\, coordination\, and environment/workflow redesign\, as caregivers navigate behavioral and psychological symptoms\, assess credibility and utility of information\, and deploy real‑world strategies to overcome work‑system constraints. The presentation will map the caregiving work system\, illustrate common constraints and the practical strategies caregivers already use\, and translate these insights into concrete design implications that recognize caregivers as essential partners in care delivery for people living with dementia. \nThis session offers 2 CEUs for NASW\, LICSW\, LDAC\, LMHC and Nursing. \nRegister Here! \n  \nPresented by: \nNicole Werner\, PhD \n  \nCost: \n$35  \n**Group discounts available
