This month, the Council spotlighted The Caring Force’s Annual Coalition meeting and the group’s goals for 2026, featured details regarding the reopening of the federal government and the restoration of SNAP benefits and highlighted some of the Council’s biggest achievements in 2025. Additionally, the ninth and final installment of the 50 Years of Impact series was released, highlighting the research and reports the Council has published on the human services sector and its workforce to examine various issues within the sector.
In this edition, the View from the Hill section featured Representative Sean Garballey, who highlighted a bill which will help restore the stories of the many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who were kept in state institutions.
