Boston — The Providers’ Council, which represents a sector with more than 145,000 employees across Massachusetts, will host a Human Services Gubernatorial Forum on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at historic Faneuil Hall. WCVB-TV’s Karen Holmes Ward will moderate the forum.

Republican nominee Charlie Baker and independent candidates Evan Falchuk and Jeff McCormick have committed to attend the forum. The Democratic nominee, Attorney General Martha Coakley, has also been invited to attend.

Four years ago, the Providers’ Council hosted the first gubernatorial forum to focus solely on the human services industry. Governor Deval Patrick, Charlie Baker, former Treasurer Timothy Cahill and Dr. Jill Stein all participated. The event attracted nearly 800 people from across the state to hear the candidates’ thoughts on human services.
