BOSTON – Providers’ Council President and CEO Michael Weekes on Thursday issued a statement thanking Executive Office of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. JudyAnn Bigby for her years of dedication to human services and state government.
“Secretary Bigby has performed in an extraordinary manner in what is, arguably, among the three most challenging positions in state government, along with Governor and Secretary of Administration and Finance,” Weekes said Thursday. “Advancing the interests and priorities of the human services sector in undertaking the most significant purchase-of-service reform in more than 30 years required significant skill, expertise and a laser-like focus to navigate through the state’s fiscal woes.
“We appreciate the Secretary’s steadfast commitment to excellence in health and human services over her six years serving in the administration,” Weekes added. “She excelled with an incredibly consistent and determined approach.”
