The Providers' Council places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected and how this information is used. We will update this policy as needed, so you should check back in from time to time.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you apply for membership, register for an event on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter or fill out a form.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, current employer, or job title. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

To personalize your experience. By using a member account, which requires some personal information, you will have access to additional resources to better serve your needs.

To improve our website. We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you through surveys, emails, & comments. How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway provider's database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems. The provider is required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Cookies & IP Addresses

We also collect other types of information that do not allow us to identify your name, e-mail address, or other personal characteristics. This "non-personal information" includes the number assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet ("IP address"), and the type of browser you use. Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent, with the exception of trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, servicing you, or providing services and benefits to members of the Providers' Council, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older. Should we learn that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, we will delete it to remain consistent with COPPA.
