Tim Brown, Director of Day Supports, Northeast Arc
Tim Brown has been with Northeast Arc for over 20 years, serving as Assistant Division Director of Residential Services before his current role. He has presented at many statewide human service conferencs and is a member of Gordon College Cooperative Education and Career Service Advisory Board
Sharon Brownfield, Chief Learning Officer, Seven Hills Foundation
Sharon Brownfield joined Seven Hills Foundation as Chief Learning Officer in 2011. Previously, she has worked as a principal at Brownfield & Lent; as Executive Director, Training and Development, for the American Red Cross; and as Director, Learning and Development, at GlaxoSmithKline. She holds a M.A. in Education and Ed.D. in Human Development.
Barbara Pilarcik, Executive Director, The Association For Community Living
Barbara Pilarcik joined The Association For Community Living in 1985. Formerly Director of the Intensive Residential Services and Specialized Home Care Divisions of The Association, she became Executive Director in February, 2009. Educated and licensed as a Registered Nurse, Barbara has worked in health care and human services since 1963. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, magna cum lauda, from American International College. Her previous work experience includes psychiatric, obstetric, and school health nursing in Ohio and Massachusetts. She has also worked as Regional Director of the Massachusetts Mental Health Association, the Psychiatric Crisis Center and as the Regional Appeals Mediator for the Department of Mental Health.
Andy Pond, President & CEO, Justice Resource Institute
Andy Pond, President and CEO of Justice Resource Institute (JRI), has served as the agency's leader since September 2006. He holds Master's Degrees in both Social Work and Teaching. He joined JRI in 1985 as a teacher, and has been a part of the agency ever since. In the course of his varied career at JRI, he assumed roles of increasing responsibility and complexity, including many years dedicated to work with adolescents suffering from the effects of complex trauma.
Kathy Scanlan, Senior Advisor, Special Projects, Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling
Kathleen M. Scanlan has been with the Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling since 1987, and served as the agency’s executive director from 1998 through 2011. Kathy has also served as the executive director of Sister Spirit, Inc. in Boston and as the regional director for Archdiocese of Boston, Office of Religious Education. She holds an M.A. from Boston College.
Michael Weekes, President & CEO, Providers’ Council
Michael D. Weekes is the President/CEO of the Providers’ Council. As the Chief Executive Officer for the Council and its subsidiary organization, the Human Service Providers Charitable Foundation, he is responsible for policy development, operations, legislative advocacy, membership service development and creating an agenda for improved state and federal policies for providers and the people they serve. He is a founding member of the National Nonprofit Voter Engagement Network and chairs its Leadership Council. He was formerly the assistant executive director of the Center for Human Development, an adjunct faculty member of Simmons College Graduate School of Social Work, and has taught at Western New England College School of Social Work.
Chris White, President & CEO, Road to Responsibility
Christopher White is the President/CEO of Road to Responsibility. He has been in his current role since 2008, and has a long history with the organization, including being its first executive director from 1989-1991. He holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University and is a Licensed Psychologist with nearly 30 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, chronic emotional/behavioral problems and their families. He is also a part of the Graduate Faculty in the Counseling Psychology Department at Northeastern University.
