Wow! 2018 training calendar filling up
If you resolved to make 2018 your year for professional development, here’s your chance.
The Providers’ Council recently added a number of new training sessions to its winter and spring calendar, ranging from the six-week Supervision Series to employee retention, team building and managing shared staff.
The slate of offerings includes two free offerings, exclusively for Council members: A Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program Information Session via webinar on Jan. 23 and the HR Roundtable: How to Manage Sharing Staff on Feb. 14 in Needham.
The six-week Winter 2018 Certificate in Supervision Series, which will be held in Fall River on Wednesday’s beginning Feb. 7, is filling up quickly. The half-day sessions cover everything from communication to situational leadership, conflict management and group planning and decision making. Learn more and register.
On Feb. 27, the half-day session, The Intention is Retention, is scheduled to take place in Peabody. This training explores the main drivers and impact of employee retention problems, reviews ways to reduce turnover and helps participants start planning ways to improve retention at human services organizations. On March 30, the new training, Building a Motivated Team, is scheduled in Somerville. This session will focus on effective team-building techniques and cohesion in a constantly changing and challenging work environment. Learn more and register.
And on April 12, the spring session of Conducting Effective Internal Investigations will be held in Watertown. This extended training is designed to give participants a thorough grounding in conducting workplace investigations. Learn more and register.
