The workforce challenges of community-based human service providers has made headlines throughout the state this week in the wake of the release of the report Who Will Care? The Workforce Crisis in Human Services.
The report, commissioned by the Providers’ Council and co-authored by Christina Citino of the Donahue Institute and Michael Goodman of the Public Policy Center at UMass Dartmouth, was released on Feb. 28 at the State House in Boston.
Since then, the story has been picked up by State House News Service, WWLP-Springfield, the Springfield Republican, the Boston Business Journal, Mass. Nonprofit News, the Lynn Daily Item and WBZ-Radio. WGBH News also taped a segment that was scheduled to air on March 3.
