Weekes, other leaders discuss nonprofit sector in 2017
MassNonprofit News interviewed nonprofit leaders from across the state, including Providers' Council President and CEO Michael Weekes, about expectations for the coming year.
The story, published this morning, says that most executives are expecting to face challenges in 2017, with uncertainty at the federal level and sluggish tax revenues at the state level.
Weekes noted that the state's low unemployment rate will continue to "make it harder for social service agencies, especially smaller ones with fewer resources, to compete with the private sector to recruit and retain workers."
The story also outlines some of the greatest challenges for smaller nonprofits. You can read it in its entirety here.
