WCVB’s Seymour to host Peer Provider Awards
The Providers’ Council is pleased to announce that Shayna Seymour of WCVB 5, Boston’s ABC-TV affiliate, will host the prestigious Peer Provider Awards during the 41st Annual Convention & Expo: Inspire | Ignite | Impact on Oct. 24.
Seymour, a native of Amherst, is an Emmy-winning reporter, producer and occasional anchor for WCVB's award-winning nightly newsmagazine, Chronicle; occasionally fills in on the weekend Eyeopener newscast on NewsCenter 5; and can be heard on WCAP-AM radio in Lowell every Monday afternoon. Prior to joining WCVB, Seymour anchored the morning and noon newscasts and did general assignment reporting at WGGB-TV in Springfield.
The Peer Provider Awards honor exemplary human services organizations, nominated by their peers, on behalf of the Council and its members. These awards go to member agencies that have gone that extra mile and/or have demonstrated innovation and creativity that has made them stand out in serving clients and consumers.
The Council has been presenting the Peer Provider awards since 1998. You can view past recipients here. If you are a member organization and would like to nominate a fellow member, please e-mail Christina Broughton to request a nomination form. The deadline for nominations is September 23.
The awards will be presented during Providers’ Council’s annual convention on Monday, October 24, at the Marriott Boston Copley Place Hotel.
