State releases Salary Reserve information
Information and documents regarding the annualization of the Fiscal Year ’15 Salary Reserve are now available on the state website.
An $8 million Salary Reserve was originally annualized through an amendment to the FY '15 budget, and was included in that budget. During the FY '16 budget process however, the annualization was inadvertently overlooked during the transition of administrations. Gov. Charlie Baker signed a supplemental budget bill in November to ensure a $5.3 million Salary Reserve would be annualized into FY ’16 contracts.
EOHHS recently issued the documents and departments are currently reviewing the Salary Reserve allocation. Departments are planning to complete the amendment process by the week of February 8. If you have questions regarding the amendment process, please reach out directly to the department that holds the contract.
The Providers’ Council is investigating the absence of funding for DHCD/OCD contracts in the Salary Reserve annualization; we have already contacted the state about this and we hope to soon have more information for our members who received this funding in FY ’15.
