Reps. co-sponsor human services House budget amendments
A number of representatives have co-sponsored two budget amendments filed by legislators on behalf of the Providers' Council and our members.

Two amendments that the Council is supporting are:
Amendment #150, filed by Rep. Daniel Hunt, is the Competitive Integrated Employment Services amendment. This amendment would fund Competitive Integrated Employment Services (CIES) and the Young Parents Program (YPP) at no less than FY ’16 levels. In addition to Rep. Hunt, the amendment has 22 representatives who have agreed to be co-sponsors. You can find the full budget language and co-sponsor list here.
Amendment #914, filed by Rep. Jeffrey Roy, is the Pilot loan repayment program for direct care human service workers amendment. This amendment would create a pilot program for education loan repayment for human service workers and fund it at $750,000. The language in the amendment closely mirrors the legislator that is part of the Council’s pro-workforce agenda. In addition to Rep. Roy, the amendment has 46 representatives who have agreed to be co-sponsors. You can find the full budget language and co-sponsor list here.
