News Paris Jeffries, Martin and Zoll join Council Board of Directors

Providers’ Council membership this morning elected three new board members and confirmed the addition of two board officers during its Annual Business Meeting at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester.

Nurtury President and CEO Wayne Ysaguirre will service as Board Treasurer for 2018-19, and Advocates President and CEO Diane Gould will serve as Assistant Clerk for the 2018-19 term.

New Board members are Imari K. Paris Jeffries, Executive Director of Parenting Journey in Somerville; Kelly Martin, President and CEO of Bridgewell in Danvers; and Cheryl Zoll, Executive Director of Tapestry Health in Holyoke.

The 36-member board, currently led by Jackie K. Moore, President and CEO of North Suffolk Mental Health Association, is representative of the diverse subsectors of the Massachusetts human services sector and the various regions of the state.

The Annual Business Meeting was followed by the luncheon seminar, Unleash the Power of the Human Services Ecosystem, featuring Susan Dreyfus, President and CEO of Alliance for Strong Families and Communities; and Christina Citino of the UMass Donahue Institute and Michael Goodwin, of UMass Dartmouth’s Public Policy Center. The seminar focused on the current data on the makeup of the Massahcusetts human services sector, the overall national picture of human services, and the transformational potential of the human services ecosystem to make substantial contributions to a strong and vibrant U.S. economy.

Further coverage of the seminar will be online at providers.org later this week.
