News Nonprofit VOTE webinars will prepare nonprofits for big voting year

Nonprofit VOTE, the Providers’ Council’s national partner for voter engagement, will host a series of webinars to prepare nonprofits for voter engagement efforts in advance of the vital mid-term elections this fall.

The first in the series, Plan Ahead 2018, Part 1, will take place on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. In this webinar, Nonprofit VOTE will go over how to create a work plan and timeline for your nonprofit’s voter engagement work in 2018. It will be presented by Cheryl Ellis of Democracy North Carolina. You can get more information and register for the webinar here.

The other two webinars in the Nonprofit VOTE series include Plan Ahead 2018, Part 2 on Thursday, Feb. 22; and Being Nonpartisan on March 8th. More information can be found online here.

In Massachusetts this year, in addition to a gubernatorial election, all 200 state legislative seats, all nine U.S. representatives and one U.S. senator will be voted on, as will most state officers such as Secretary of State.

The Providers’ Council’s CareVote initiative will be working with MassVOTE and Nonprofit VOTE throughout the year to help our nonprofit members get the tools and information needed to register and engage voters across the Commonwealth.
