Learn more about next week’s Social Enteprise tour
Join the Providers' Council and the Social Enterprise Alliance Massachusetts chapter for an opportunity to tour and learn more about a fellow human service agency's social enterprise, Boston HandyWorks of Pine Street Inn. The event will take place on Thursday, December 17 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Jamaica Plain.
Boston HandyWorks is a social enterprise of Pine Street Inn, a Boston nonprofit organization whose mission is to end homelessness.
At HandyWorks, they provide on-the-job training and transitional employment opportunities to individuals who have experienced homelessness and have been estranged from the workforce. Trainees in this program engage in meaningful work as they move toward their goals of economic self-sufficiency. Come learn more about how Boston Handyworks runs as a social enterprise and enjoy the beautiful woodwork the staff have created!
The tour is free for Providers' Council members, but pre-registration is required.
