The Providers' Council is launching its second year of The Leadership Initiative, an inter-agency mentoring program that aims to grow future leaders of the human services sector and to create a collaborative environment to share ideas and knowledge in the sector.

This year-long program will begin later this year and is open to employees of Providers' Council member agencies. Mentor-mentee pairs will meet monthly and work towards defined goals throughout the mentoring relationship.

Mentors are senior management-level professionals who would like to empower a developing leader in the sector by sharing their knowledge and experience.

Mentees are employees with supervisory responsibilities that would like to grow within their organizations. Mentees will cultivate their leadership skills and work with an accomplished mentor at a fellow human services agency.

The deadline to apply as a mentor or mentee is October 25. The program will begin later this year.
