Here’s the 4.11 on the 2016 Caring Force Rally
The Fifth Annual Caring Force State House Rally is just two weeks away!
On Monday, April 11th, human services stakeholders from across the state wearing the gold shirts of The Caring Force will fill the Great Hall at the State House to champion the sector and the Providers' Council's Pro-Workforce Legislative Agenda. Featured speakers will include individuals working in the human services sector, and Caring Bear awards will be presented to two legislative champions.
The Caring Force -- which has been 500-600 strong at past rallies -- will then fan out through the State House to speak directly with our elected officials about creating a student loan repayment program, solutions to growing health insurance burdens and adequate funding for human service programs in the FY '17 state budget.
The rally is taking place two days before the House Ways & Means Committee is scheduled to announce its Fiscal 2017 state budget, so it's a prime opporunity for Caring Force members to make our priorities known and put a face and a story with where the human services dollars are going.
So gather your colleagues, clients, consumers and other human services stakeholders and register to rally on April 11th. If you need more information about the rally, please email Caring Force Project Mananger Christine Batista.
