Free members-only webinars on finance, ACOs, transportation
Three upcoming free webinars give Providers’ Council members an opportunity for professional development right at your own computer.
On Monday, Nov. 13th, Michelle Hatch of BlumShapiro will lead the 75-minute, members-only session Finance 101 for Program Directors and Non-Financial Managers. Hatch, a CPA Partner, will help participants develop an understanding of their organization’s budget and financing. Topics covered include reading basic financial statements, contributing the financial reporting and the budget process, and the potential users of financial statements.

On Monday, Nov. 20, the Council will host The Benefits of Telematics in the Human Services Sector for members only. Led by Joe Cady of Geotab, a partner of Endorsed Business Parnter Enterprise Fleet Management, it will address trasportation safety and operational expenses reduction among other topics. This webinar takes place from 11 a.m. to noon. Register online here.
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, Tom Barker of Foley Hoag will lead The Pending MassHealth Shift to ACOs, which looks at the Commonwealth’s dramatic shift away from fee-for-service Medicaid and how the new ACO model will affect Massachusetts human services providers. In his 75-minute session, Barker explains the shift to value-based health care, looks at how providers will partner with ACOs and the contractual relationship between the entities, and address legal issues that may arise.
