For first time, Mass. offers early voting option
Massachusetts cities and towns will offer early voting options this year for residents who may not be able to get to the polls on Tuesday, November 8. In addition to the presidential election, Massachusetts voters will decide four ballot questions and many local races.
Massachusetts’s early voting period begins Monday, October 24 and ends Friday, November 4. Polling locations and times vary by community. To find out where and when you can cast your ballot each day during that period, you can look up your town or city here, on the state’s website. Residents may still request an absentee ballot and send it in.
To use either of these options, you must be registered to vote! The deadline to register for this year’s presidential election is Wednesday, Oct. 19. If you recently moved, have just become a citizen, will be 18 on or before Nov. 8, you may need to register. Check your voting status and get more information here.
