Council’s human services credentialing program receives NADSP approval
The Providers' Council is pleased to announce that the Human Services Credentialing Program offered through Providers' eAcademy® has been approved for accreditation by the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). The NADSP national panel reviewed our materials and determined they are exceptional. The curriculum and learning objectives received high marks from NADSP in the following areas:
• Aligns with mission and goals of NADSP
• Offers high quality accessible curriculum
• Aligns with NADSP Competencies and Ethics
• Employs best practices in adult learning
The Human Services Credentialing Program was designed with the guidance of our members and currently offers credentials in the areas of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Child Welfare (Levels I and II), Mental Health, Substance Use and Addictive Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Leadership and Frontline Supervision. These curricula contain 11 core competency modules based on national standards and are designed to provide human services staff working with different populations with the knowledge and skills essential to their work in the sector. All organizations that use Providers' eAcademy®, the Council's learning management system, have access to these credentials.
With this approval, organizations that use Providers' eAcademy®, can supply their staffs with more opportunities to receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to count towards their NADSP certification.
