Council submits testimony on FY ‘13 Ways & Means budget

The Providers' Council submitted testimony on the FY '13 Ways & Means budget during a public hearing at Gardner Auditorium on Friday, March 9.

The Council's testimony included the organization's two major budget priorities for FY '13, which are:

• A 2.13 percent cost-of-inflation increase for all human services contracts that have not been fully implemented under Chapter 257 of the Acts of 2008.
• A 3 percent salary adjustment for our low-paid direct care staff, many of whom have not received an annualized salary increase since FY '08.
