Council presents $18K in scholarships to future leaders
The Providers’ Council presented $18,000 in scholarships during the 42nd Annual Convention & Expo: We’re All In to member employees who are pursuing advanced degrees.
The $10,000 Providers' Council Graduate Leadership Scholarship was awarded to Nanci Lytes, the Independent Living Supervisor for Cambridge Family and Children's Service. Lytes, who is in her final year of the MSW program at Salem State University, started as a youth counselor at CFCS, working her way up to lead counselor and case manager in the Independent Living Program before being promoted to her current position.
The Council also awarded two $4,000 scholarships in conjunction with our educational partners.
The Providers’ Council and Suffolk University Moakley Center Master of Public Administration Scholarship was presented to Megan Caron, a Life Coach at Roxbury Youthworks, Inc.
The Providers’ Council and Clark University School of Professional Studies Master of Public Administration Scholarship was presented to Jessica Da Silva, a Bilingual Care Coordinator, Advocates, Inc.
These two scholarships are presented to graduates of the Council’s year-long Certificate in Nonprofit Human Services Management Program, offered at Clark and Suffolk. More information about the Certificate Program, which runs throughout the course of the school year, usually September through June, is available here.
