Council expands scholarship offerings
The Providers’ Council is pleased to announce that nearly $20,000 in scholarships is available for member employees who will start or are continuing a master’s degree program in the 2017-18 academic year. Applications are being accepted for these one-time scholarships from the Providers’ Council and our academic partners Suffolk University and Clark University. Applications are due by Friday, June 16th.
For the fourth straight year, the Providers’ Council is offering a $10,000 Graduate Leadership Scholarship, created to support the promotion and development of the human services sector's workforce. Applicants should be Council member employees who are entering or are currently enrolled in a master’s degree program. Most accredited master’s programs are eligible, provided the applicant demonstrates in their personal statement how the program is clearly related to their future contributions in the human services sector.
The Providers’ Council Master of Public Administration Scholarships, in partnership with Suffolk University and Clark University, are offered to eligible applicants who have completed the Council’s Certificate in Nonprofit Human Services Management Program.
This is a one-time award of $4,000 made to a Council member employee who is entering or is currently enrolled the MPA program at Suffolk or Clark. This scholarship is based on leadership and merit, as well as need, and there will be one recipient from each school. Two $4,000 scholarships will be given out; one to a student enrolled or enrolling at Suffolk and one to a student enrolled or enrolling at Clark.
