Convention workshop proposals now being accepted
The Providers’ Council is now accepting proposals for workshops for the 43rd Annual Convention & Expo, to be held on Thursday, September 20th, 2018 at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston.
The annual convention brings more than 1,200 human services professionals – from direct care staff to executive leadership – to Boston each year for a day of education, inspiration and networking. The 2018 event will feature 34 workshops on a diverse range of topics, from clinical sessions to self-care to financial best practices and everything in between.
The Council is seeking proposals for presentations that are approximately 90 minutes in length and may be classified in the following tracks: Clinical & Direct Care; Supervision & Management; Administration & Finance; Executive; Human Resources; and Personal Growth & Wellness. The convention provides wide exposure to the human services community and the workshops are featured in a range of marketing materials. Workshop attendance usually ranges from 20 to 100 participants depending on the topic, but attendance numbers are not guaranteed.
Presenters receive complimentary admittance to the day’s entire program, including meals. Presenters bring their own laptops and projectors if needed for their workshop.
More detailed information, including a list of potential workshop topics and the selection criteria, can be found on the Request for Proposals (RFP). It can be completed online here, or downloaded and returned by email, fax or mail. The deadline to submit completed proposals is Friday, April 13th. Presenters will be notified by June 1st.
