Coaching, Ethics on tap in December
The Providers' Council Academy for Learning and Exchange (ALEX) is offering two more half-day trainings before the end of the year!
On Thursday, Dec. 1, John Howard of Youth Villages leads Coaching for High Performance, a training that aims to teach participants the importance of building rapport and trust with employees to best facilitate goal setting and manage their progress. Learn how you can use a coaching approach with those you manage or lead to promote workplace engagement and staff performance. This will be held at Walker's Needham Campus at 1968 Central Ave.
On Tuesday, Dec. 13, trainers Heidi Ferreira and LaToya Staine Carriker, both from The Home for Little Wanderers, lead Compliance and Ethics: A Valuable Partnership in Social Services. Compliance in your organizations means conforming to rules, specifications, policies, standards and laws, while ethics are the moral principles that govern a person’s or group’s behaviors. The trainers will look at how compliance and ethics apply to mandated reporting, confidentiality, written information security plans and even social media. Location: Northeast Arc, 6 Southside Rd. Danvers.
The Providers' Council has applied for CEUs for these training sessions. Information and registration is available online here. If you have questions about these or other educational offerings, please email Christina Broughton.
