Limited Spaces Still Available in the Certificate Program at Clark University
The Providers' Council is still accepting applications for the graduate-level Certificate in Nonprofit Human Service Management Program at Clark University in Worcester. The Certificate Program at Suffolk University has already reached capacity, but a limited number of spots remain open for the Clark University program. Don't miss the chance to participate by applying today.
The year-long Certificate in Nonprofit Human Service Management Program is designed for mid-career human service employees who seek to strengthen their management skills and learn in specialized, sector-specific classes with peers from other human service agencies. The program begins this September and ends in June 2015. Classes meet on Wednesdays at Clark University from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This program offers a unique opportunity to grow your network by connecting you to other human services managers and leaders to support the sharing of ideas while you build skills and knowledge in key areas so that you can immediately apply what you learn in the classroom to your work in the field. Course topics include:
- Nonprofit Human Service Management
- Financial Management
- Program and Policy Evaluation
- Human Resources Management
- Legal & Ethical Issues for Nonprofits
- Alternative Revenue Strategies for Nonprofits
If you successfully complete the Certificate Program at Clark University and you already have a bachelor's degree, you may be eligible to transfer credits towards a Master of Public Administration degree. You may earn the equivalent to almost one-third of the credits needed, giving you a jump start on the credits, time and cost associated with pursuing a master's degree.
