Applications being accepted for 2017-18 Certificate Program
The Providers’ Council is currently accepting applications for its graduate-level Certificate in Nonprofit Human Services Management program that starts this fall at Clark University in Worcester and Suffolk University in Boston.
Nearly 500 future leaders have completed this year-long program that has been specifically designed for mid-career professionals in nonprofit organizations. Open to members and non-members, the curriculum reflects the complex and challenging set of skills that are necessary to excel in human services management.
Classes are broken into six blocks in the key subject areas of Human Service Management (overview); Human Resource Management; Financial Management; Nonprofit Legal and Ethical Issues; Information-Based Management; and Alternative Revenue Strategies for Nonprofits.
The program will begin in the fall and run through June 2018. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 4 or 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at Clark and on Fridays at Suffolk.
Participants in the Certificate Program receive training and education that can often be applied immediately in the workplace and may contribute to career advancement. It also allows human service professionals to develop a cohort of colleagues to learn from and network with.
Those who complete the program may also be eligible to receive credits toward a master’s degree program. Complete information on the Certificate in Nonprofit Human Services Management program can be found here.
The Council recently hosted two informational webinars with representatives from Clark and Suffolk. The recordings of these sessions are available online in the members-only section of the Providers’ Council website under the March 2017 news.
