Administration and Finance Forum features Sec. Heffernan
The Providers' Council will host an Administration and Finance Luncheon Forum featuring ANF Secretary Michael J. Heffernan on Monday, Dec. 11 in Boston.
Heffernan will discuss the Commonwealth's current financial health; budget projections and priorities for 2018 and Fiscal Year 2019; and the financial implications for human services organizations.
There will also be time for providers' comments and questions.
Heffernan was appointed ANF Secretary by Gov. Charlie Baker in August, succeeding Kristen Lepore, who is now the Governor's Chief of Staff. Heffernan, a candidate for Treasurer in 2014, previously served as Commissioner of the Department of Revenue for the Commonwealth, where he was responsible for administrating tax, revenue collection, child support and municipal finance laws.
Heffernan has been involved with a number of nonprofits focused primarily on education and healthcare. He holds an MBA in finance from New York University, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University, where he sits on the Georgetown College Board of Advisors and chairs the Georgetown Library Board.
The Council's ANF Luncheon Forum will take place at Suffolk University's Sargent Hall, 120 Tremont St., in Boston. Registration is now open and seating is limited. Click here for more information and to register.
