A diverse array of trainings offered in May
May the Four be with you! The Council is offering four training opportunities in May on topics ranging from employment law to social media marketing, diversity and inclusion and employee benefits and retention.
On Tuesday, May 8, the Council is hosting Employment Law: Beyond the Basics with Hirsch Roberts Weinstein LLP's Jeff Hirsch, Peter Moser and Rich Loftus. They will outline what you need to know about recent state and federal employment law changes and how your organization can prepare for them. Designed for CEOs, CFOs, HR managers and directors. This month's free, members-only webinar is Social Media 101 for Nonprofits with Jay Wilkinson, founder and CEO of Firespring. Can you name the big three for social media? Did you say LinkedIn? If not, there's still time to register for this session, taking place on Tuesday May 15 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Click here for more information.
New to our May events calendar is the Cracking the Codes Film/Dialogue session, which is scheduled for Thursday, May 24 in Worcester. This is one of the initiatives the Council offers to help members advance efforts around race, diversity and inclusion at their organizations. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Click here for more information.
The Council is also introducing a new training this month: WIFM: Beyond your Basic Employee Benefits. Applicants and employees want to know: What's in it for me? This workshop looks past vacation time, sick time and retirement savings to help you figure out what else your organization can provide and broadcast to your employees and how to help them take full advantage of what you offer. The session is scheduled for Thursday, May 31 in Andover from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Click here for more information.
