The Providers' Council is now accepting applications for its enhanced Certificate in Nonprofit Human Service Management program offered at both Suffolk University in Boston and Clark University in Worcester. The year-long, graduate-level program is designed for mid-career human service employees who seek to strengthen their management skills and learn in a specialized, sector-specific program.
The Providers' Council's is currently soliciting workshop proposals for our 39th Annual Convention & Expo on November 17, 2014 at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston.

At the Council’s Annual Business Meeting on April 2, President and CEO Michael Weekes announced the new Providers’ Council Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship, recently approved by the Board of Directors, seeks to support the Council’s ongoing objective of promoting and developing the human services sector's workforce.
The Providers' Council and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Institute unveiled the Beyond Social Value: Massachusetts Human Services Economic Impact report during a seminar Wednesday afternoon.

The Certificate in Nonprofit Human Service Management program at Suffolk University has filled to capacity this year, but limited seats are still available in the Clark program.
Each of the states has filed a blueprint for creating a Health Insurance Marketplace (formerly known as the American Health Benefit Exchanges). These Exchanges are projected to be operational on January 1, 2014. Under the regulations, a large employer's potential Shared Responsibility Penalty may be avoided, or postponed, for some group health plans. We expect to continue to be inundated with new guidance and regulations in the coming months as the commencement of State Exchanges nears.
