Managing Stress in the Workplace

Work in human services is rewarding and the positive impact on people is meaningful.  It also can be stressful, and take a toll on providers who have to manage unique client issues such as anger, sadness, bullying, diverse cultural expectations and more.

In the workshop, Managing Stress in the Workplace, you will discuss and learn tips on how to take care of yourself as you care for others, as well as learn helpful communication techniques for managing client and co-worker needs.

This training takes place Thursday, May 25th from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Worcester.

Training Objectives:

1. Learn to recognize your personal stressors and how to better manage them instead of having them manage you;
2. Discuss preventative steps that you can take before and during difficult situations to manage energy and renew yourself; and
3. Recognize and practice communication strategies to help you de-escalate stressful situations.
