Members-only Webinar! Innovation from Within: Intrapreneurship for Human Services
There has been a long-standing bias in the innovation literature that social innovation is done by social entrepreneurs who operate outside the existing human service landscape. While this work should be applauded, it would be a tremendous oversight for the field to fail to recognize the assets, resources and contributions that existing organizations make to innovation. What they need is the time, space and tools to capitalize on this potential. The time has come to strengthen our understanding of intrapreneurship as a critical skill for human service leadership and to provide resources to get existing organizations into this conversation.
This webinar is designed to galvanize human service leaders to leverage their resources and skills to develop, implement and sustain innovation.
- Participants will explore concepts of intrapreneurship for human service agencies.
- Participants will consider assets and challenges to innovation work within existing human service agencies.
- Presenter will introduce the Nonprofit Innovation Model, a tool for innovation work within existing nonprofit agencies.
Presented by: Stephanie Cosner Berzin, Ph.D., Assistant Dean at Boston College School of Social Work
