Got Conflict? Deal with Conflict Effectively: Tools for Your Toolbox

Have you noticed that conflict is often a frequent part of our daily human interactions? How conflict is handled can make a difference as to whether the experience is constructive or destructive, and if the conflict gets resolved. This workshop will improve your conflict skills (and conflict IQ) through a format that is interactive, engaging and draws from the group’s real-life experiences. This workshop will focus on conflict in general, covering a range of conflict situations that would be relevant to the human services workplace.

This training takes place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26th in Framingham.

This interactive workshop will help human services providers sharpen skills by:

  • Providing a framework for understanding the styles of people in conflict;
  • Dispelling common myths about the nature of conflict;
  • Examining how conflicts escalate;
  • Identifying strategies for de-escalation and prevention.

Presented by: Molly Froelich and Kim Whelan, Community Dispute Settlement Center, Inc.
*This session has been approved for 3 NASW CEUs.
