Come to this training to find out what is new in the field of evidence based practice. It may not be what you thought it was!

Are you familiar with the term "Evidence Based Practice"(EBP)? It is becoming more and more prevalent among funder requirements in many states.

If you think you know what EBP means--- does it seem like something that is out of reach for your organization? Have you been frustrated that there seems to be no proven treatment for the people you work with? Are you skeptical whether scientific study can be applied to your programs?

We are fortunate to have in Massachusetts one of the nation’s leading experts in evidence-based practice.  Dr. John Weisz, a highly regarded researcher, designer, and practitioner in the field, has developed a modular model of evidence-based practice that incorporates many of the evidence-based treatments used in clinical settings. Because Dr. Weisz operates a treatment center, he is sensitive to the many issues of cost, training, agency culture, workforce, and client preferences we providers grapple with daily.  His model reflects this sensitivity and effectively diminishes many of the most common barriers to implementation. Dr.Weisz will share his experience with the modular model with the provider community.
