Unemployment Tax Management Corporation

Unemployment Tax Management Corporation's dedicated team will serve as your advocate in the area of unemployment compensation. UTMC’s all-inclusive services cover auditing of monthly benefit charges, claim processing services, unlimited consultation and management training. These services, along with UTMC’s experience and expertise, result in significant savings for their clients.

501(c)(3) organizations may elect to opt out of the state unemployment tax system and instead self-insure themselves through the Reimbursable Method.  This option can result in significant savings for an organization if the process is well managed. As you may be aware, every claim charged against a Massachusetts employer must be reimbursed dollar-for-dollar to the state. Presently, just one maximum claim can cost in excess of $20,000. Unemployment expense is not a fixed cost and can be reduced by properly handling all unemployment matters as well as avoiding all unwarranted benefit charges.

Over the course of their 37 years in the industry, UTMC has identified that at least 75 percent of nonprofit organizations are spending more on their state unemployment costs than they should.

UTMC's dedicated team will serve as your advocate in the area of unemployment compensation.  Their all-inclusive services provide computerized auditing of monthly benefit charges, claim processing services, unlimited consultation and management training. These services, along with UTMC’s experience and expertise, result in significant savings for their clients.

Thanks to this new partnership between the Providers' Council and UTMC, all Council members will receive a no-cost, no-obligation analysis of your organization’s unemployment costs. To perform this analysis, members provide a few pieces of non-confidential information about your organization’s state unemployment account, which should only take a few minutes to obtain directly from your records.  If this technical analysis demonstrates sufficient savings, Council members will receive a 15 percent discount on UTMC's current service fees, thereby saving your organization even more money.
